Indians turn to NGOs to survive during oxygen shortage in Ghaziabad, India
This footage was filmed and produced 29 April 2021. As India touches 16 lakh active Covid-19 infections, a number of states have reported shortages of medical oxygen for a growing pool of patients in need of oxygen support. With the Indian government unable to provide oxygen in the face of the deadly Covid-19 wave, religious organizations are setting up free oxygen camps across the country. The video shows one of these camps, located on the outskirts of New Delhi. The facility provides oxygen on its doorstep to all those in need. The only criterion is that their oxygen saturation should not exceed 90%.
