US, Phoenix: Phoenix Protest Against Immigration Enforcement
Phoenix, United States - January 31, 2025 01/31/2025 05:10 pm (GMT-0700) PHOENIX, Ariz. – Demonstrators gathered at the Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza across the Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix to protest recent policy changes and immigration enforcement by the Trump administration. Several hundred gathered in the plaza to listen to speakers give speeches before marching down Jefferson Street toward downtown. Officers from the Arizona Department of Public Safety and Phoenix Police followed along as the demonstrators marched while providing traffic control. Eventually, the march ended at the Capitol building, where dozens began chanting. Several cars drove up and down the streets near the Capitol, waving flags. At least one driver was stopped and taken into custody by Phoenix Police after revving their engine.
