Drone Photographer Shares Spectacular 18-Minute Lava-Filled Footage From Icelandic Volcano
An Icelandic drone photographer captured footage of an impressive river of lava flowing from a new fissure that opened up at a volcano on Iceland’s Reykjanes Peninsula on April 5.Björn Steinbekk recorded this footage showing the long and winding river of molten lava.The Icelandic Meteorological Office said the crack is about 100-200 meters (328-656 feet) long, with thin flowing lava spewing from the crack.The Department for Civil Protection said the area has been evacuated and public access has been closed.
