Netanyahu offers Bennett 1st spot as PM in rotation as hopes for coalition fade | May 4, 2021
In a desperate bid to retain the influence over Israeli politics that he has held for more than two decades, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly offered Yamina head Naftali Bennett to try and form a right-wing coalition government. One of the alleged conditions of Netanyahu's support is that he would expect a series of measures in return that could help the incumbent premier out of his current legal difficulties.
