GLASGOW – Jerry David Green, 74, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was born September 17, 1949, in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Clarence Green and Emma Loraine Doty Green. Jerry retired from the Glasgow State Nursing Facility and was president of the Barren County/Glasgow Soup Kitchen for 13 years. He was extremely active in the Salvation Army and Ralph Bunch Center. Jerry was a devoted member of the Glasgow Faith Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Katie Michelle Eatmon (Ernie); one son, Jordan Emmitt (Katlin); six grandchildren, Gabriel Eatmon (Morgan), Michael Eatmon (Amber), Makayla Jernigan (Michael), Joshua Emmitt, Jacob Emmitt, Justin Emmitt; four great-grandchildren, Addison Eatmon, Maverick Eatmon, Oakleigh Jernigan, Harper Jernigan; one brother, Bryant Green (Brenda); one sister, Jean Green Gentry; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Deckard Green; four brothers, James, Carl, Marshall, and Forester Green; and four sisters, Marie Swift, Nell Hawks, Ada Hatfield, and MarlinAnn Green.

The funeral service for Mr. Green will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
