A special day in American history that most Americans know nothing about. June 19th, 1865 is also known as Freedom Day. Juneteenth is the day the Emancipation Proclamation was read to African slaves in Texas by Gordon Granger. This magazine covers the long and arduous journey African Americans have endured in their pursuit of freedom and acceptance. I curated this magazine to learn African American History and culture so that I am in a better position to be an informed ally.
