On Nov. 4, the United States will officially depart one of the most significant efforts to combat climate change worldwide. President Trump announced in 2019 that the country would no longer be a part of the Paris Climate Agreement, a 2015 deal reached among 196 state parties — only two nations didn't sign on. Though the U.S. will abandon the accord, city and state governments, along with businesses, have indicated they'll support the Paris Agreement.
