Bijnor, India - April 25, 2025 [WARNING: sensitive content] Two individuals out for a morning walk were struck by a speeding vehicle, resulting in one young man’s death and leaving the other with severe injuries. The driver responsible fled the scene. Fortunately, witnesses who were nearby at the time rushed to assist the injured. The incident occurred in front of Pitanheri on Nehtaur Road from Kotwali Dehat, in Bijnor district, in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, on April 25. Visuals show that during a morning walk, two pedestrians were walking along the side of the road when a car suddenly hit them from behind, throwing them off their path. According to reports, two individuals out for a morning walk were struck from behind by a speeding car, leaving both seriously injured. They were rushed to the hospital, where one of the young men was pronounced dead. The car driver fled the scene immediately. The incident occurred on Friday morning near Pitanheri along Nahtaur Road, as the victims were walking from Kotwali Dehat. A fast-approaching vehicle from Nahtaur hit them with such force that one youth was thrown nearly five meters into the air. Police and local residents hurried the injured to the CHC (Community Health Center). One was declared dead on arrival, while the other, in critical condition, was referred to a higher medical facility following initial treatment. Police are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
