India: Motorist intentionally rams biker, sending pedestrian upside down into fence
Karnataka, India - March 13, 2025 [Note: no sound] In a shocking incident, a motorist attempted to murder his neighbour by crashing into his motorcycle, resulting in a pedestrian being thrown into the air and becoming entangled upside down in a fence. The incident took place in Mangalore city, Dakshina Kannada district in southern India’s Karnataka on March 13. Footage shows a woman walking along the roadside when, within seconds, a speeding car rams into a motorcycle. The impact sends the woman flying into the air, leaving her entangled upside down in a fence along a compound wall. The car drags the motorcycle for several metres before bystanders rush to help. They assist the struggling woman, carefully freeing her leg from the fence and placing her on the ground. They then offer her water and administer first aid. According to reports, 69-year-old Satish Kumar KM, the motorist, attempted to murder Murali Prasad, the biker and his neighbour, due to a long-standing dispute. During this attack, the pedestrian was also injured. Both Murali and the woman sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the hospital for further treatment. Police have registered a case of attempted murder against Satish and apprehended him. The vehicle involved in the crash was seized. Additionally, a separate case has been filed at the Mangaluru Traffic West Police Station for reckless driving and endangering public safety.
