King Charles and Queen Camilla greeted by boos and chants from anti-monarch protesters at Royal Maundy service
King Charles and Queen Camilla have been greeted by boos and chants from anti-monarch protesters at a Royal Maundy Service in Durham. Charles arrived at Durham Cathedral for the Maundy Thursday service, after missing last year’s ceremony while receiving treatment for cancer. Anti-monarch protesters held placards and chanted as the royal couple arrived for the service on Thursday (16 April). The recipients will be presented with two purses, one red and one white, containing Maundy Money.
