Malaysia: Couple shocked when durian drops from tree onto their car bonnet
Kedah, Malaysia - May 14, 2025 A couple were shocked when a durian dropped from a tree and slammed onto their car bonnet. Dashcam footage shows the resident travelling through a narrow one-way road beside a farm in Kedah, Malaysia. They slowed down upon seeing fruit scattered on the road so they could pull over in case some of it could still be eaten. However, after only a second of stopping, a large 2kg spiky fruit crashed onto the front of their vehicle on May 14. Laily Husna Husna Rosli said: ǺWe noticed the monkeys after that, eating the unripe fruit. ȽWe think one of the monkeys threw the durian at us to scare us away.ʇ Laily added that they left immediately after that to avoid the wild primate troop that raided the trees. She said: ̃There were several monkeys on the tree holding durians, then they hurled more durians onto our car window.ͳ
