Three men arrested as cops launch murder probe after boy, 16, stabbed to death
Three men have been arrested as police launch a murder investigation after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Wolverhampton. Police and paramedics rushed to a house on Warnford Walk in the city at 4.30pm on Monday (18/9) where they found the teenager with knife wounds. Officers desperately tried to give the boy CPR and paramedics battled to save him but he was declared dead at the scene. Two 22-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of murder and a 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Officers who attended the address gave CPR and he was treated by paramedics but sadly the 16-year-old was declared dead at the scene. “His family are being supported by specialist officers at this awful time and are being updated as our murder investigation continues today.” A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 4.28pm to reports of a stabbing at a private address on Warnford Walk in Penn, Wolverhampton. “One ambulance, a paramedic officer, the Midland Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene. "Upon arrival we found a teenage male who was assessed and had sustained life-threatening injuries. “He received advanced life support from ambulance staff at the scene. “Unfortunately, despite the best efforts it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased."
