How Do We Know the Earth Is 4.6 Billion Years Old?

Early calculation put the earth between 22 million to 400 million years old. It pretty much stayed in this wider range until 1926 with the adoption of radiometric timescale. The controversy of how old the earth was pretty much resolved by 1932. But we could find out that it could be older.
