James Webb telescope captures groundbreaking images of distant galaxies

The James Webb Space Telescope will find the first galaxies that formed in the early universe and peer through dusty clouds to see stars forming planetary systems. These images have captivated the world with their detail and beauty. The James Webb Space Telescope was built through an international partnership. Thousands of scientists, engineers, and technicians from 14 countries, 29 U.S. states, and Washington, D.C. contributed to design, build, test, integrate, launch, and operate Webb.
