It won't happen anytime soon as the league agreed to extend its broadcasting deals with NBC, CBS, Fox, ESPN and Amazon through 2033. However, the comment highlights how streaming has created new options and clouded the industry's future. Despite losing a million viewers year-over-year, the NFL still claimed 69 of the 100 most-watched TV broadcasts of 2020.
