The Blues Sink Boston

The St. Louis Blues smothered the Boston Bruins, 4-1, in Game 7 last night to win their first Stanley Cup in the club's 52-year existence. It also completed the most dramatic turnaround in NHL history; on Jan. 3, the Blues had the worst record in the league, fired their coach and started rookie goaltender Jordan Binnington in the net. Binnington was nothing short of amazing yesterday as he stopped all but one of 33 shots on goal. Tonight the Warriors, minus Kevin Durant, face the Raptors in the final game to be played at Oracle Arena. The first round of the US Open is today at picturesque Pebble Beach.
