Remembering Bobby Knight, A Coach Unlike Any Other
Knight was as famous for his outbursts as his championships, a larger-than-life figure in Indiana, where he led the Hoosiers to three NCAA titles. He was demanding on and off the court, and his players graduated. But there were moments, like when he choked one of those players. He was brilliant and a bully. He once asked to be buried upside down so his critics “could kiss my ass.” He was loved. He was hated. A throwback with a red sweater — and a red face. There may never be another like him.
