Two years after an embarrassing loss at Whistling Straits, the Europeans seized control early and took much of the drama out of golf’s most territorial event — and defended their turf for the seventh straight time. The lack of drama, however, doesn’t mean there was no controversy: Rory McIlroy was restrained from a caddie, Brooks Koepka jabbed Jon Rahm, and Rickie Fowler took heat for conceding to Tommy Fleetwood.
