The Braves — who are visiting the nation's capital to face the Nationals for the last time this year — were invited as part of the White House’s tradition of hosting World Series-winning teams.

    Jean-Pierre Questioned on ‘Tomahawk Chop,’ Braves Name

    After the Braves’ visit, Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, was asked about the president’s opinion on calls for the Braves to change their name and stop the racist "Tomahawk Chop." Despite criticisms from Native American groups, the Braves continue to embrace the "Tomahawk Chop" with music as a rallying cry at home games and use the logo on most of their jerseys.
