1/6 Committee Has Officially Subpoenaed Donald Trump
The January 6th Committee officially subpoenaed Donald Trump on Friday. It has requested documents from Trump by Nov. 4, and in-person or virtual testimony from the former president by Nov. 14. The committee is also seeking Trump's communications with individuals such as Roger Stone, Steve Bannon, Michael Flynn, and Rudy Giuliani. Trump is not expected to comply with the subpoena, however, setting up a legal and political fight.
Steve Bannon Given Four-Month Prison Sentence
A federal judge on Friday sentenced former Trump adviser Steve Bannon to four months prison and levied a $6,500 fine after he ignored a subpoena from the House committee investigating the Capitol insurrection on January 6th.
