Asian Americans Face Increased Attacks
Bias attacks against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are on the rise. Anti-Asian hate crimes jumped 149% in 16 of America’s largest cities last year, according to a study from California State University, San Bernardino. Some of the people convicted have mimicked "China virus" rhetoric used by former President Trump, incorrectly placing blame for the COVID-19 pandemic on the Asian-American community.
