Some of the best games of all time are marked as open-world, which makes talking about them a difficult task. Many of them are held in such high regard that it’s nearly impossible to have anything critical to say or even rank them against other open-world games. With that in mind, we’re going to rank the best open-world games (and/or franchises) of all time.
Seeing as Khajiit are basically just cats with thumbs, one Redditor decided to prove the old saying holds up in the virtual world of Skyrim. Of course, they didn't leave things to chance – instead, they made use of a bug that slows your fall speed when dropping items in your inventory. The whole thing is pretty ridiculous, but I bet it'll make you redownload Skyrim after watching.

The in-game protest is taking place in Oribos where a number of players from both factions are gathered, sat quietly on the steps outside of the city's inn. The idea was initially thought up by role play guild Fence Macabre on the Moon Guard and Wyrmrest Accord servers. However, as word of the in-game protest has spread, more of them have been taking place on other servers.
A report from Bloomberg News revealed information of a new lawsuit filed by the state of California Department of Fair Employment and Housing against the gaming giant. As the result of a two-year investigation into the workplace culture that is cultivated at the house of Call of Duty, the DFEH found that Activision Blizzard regularly discriminated against female employees in a number of areas including employment, compensation, assignment, promotion, and termination.
With weather conditions, seasons, spawn rotations, unique biomes, and more, along with the hundreds of Pokemon and almost six full generations to sort through, it seems to be even tougher to nab certain Pokemon and it can be difficult to pinpoint the rarest, most coveted ones.
In a recent video put together by Avocado Animations, we get to see a take on how Creepers were created, and it is equally as terrifying as it is brilliant. The video shows a man mixing together some kind of potion, which is supposed to turn into something that can heal permanent injuries. The cat knocks in some extra ingredients though, and when the man goes to test his final product out on the head of a dead pig, things do not go as planned.
In the late 90s and early 2000s, translucent consoles and handhelds were common and quite popular. Since the sixth generation of video games, releases with translucent designs have been few and far between. The only company to really give it a go later down the line has been Nintendo with a brief glimpse from Sony.
This latest glitch is testament to just how powerful these giants are. Redditor Cassiusthevast managed to capture a moment where a giant asserts their dominance over a dragon... by riding it. The video shows the player approaching a dragon, which then takes to the sky with a giant on its back.
I know The Witcher 3’s new DLC isn’t going to be some enormous expansion like Hearts of Stone or Blood & Wine. I know there aren’t going to be any new characters, or quests, or sprawling areas teeming with all manner of belligerent beasties - that doesn’t change the fact I’m more excited about this than like, half the new games due to launch this year.

Those who received the card would then scan it with the e-Reader to find out if they'd won a prize or not.
Multiplayer games are always fun to dive into, but it's nice to go on a little adventure alone every once and a while. Single-player games are a way for you to enjoy a game's narrative and move at your own pace. These games also tend to dominate conversations for game-of-the-year awards.
Black Widow's opening weekend seems to have gone pretty well for Disney. Not only has the film broken the $100 million gross barrier that seems to have been in place since the start of the pandemic, but it's also unseated Fast and Furious 9 as the biggest movie of 2021 so far.
Fans really loved the idea of Master Chief in Smash Bros, and while Kazuya certainly made a splash (some might even say too much of a splash), Kazuya didn't seem to have the same kind of popularity as Master Chief, judging by all the retweets. Fans made plenty of their own Smash Bros intro edits, but we have artist Mutation Korno to thank for this incredible render of what a Smashified Master Chief would likely look like.
Nickelodeon could be poised to return to the world of crossover tie-in games, as a listing for a title called “Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl” appears on an online storefront. The page doesn’t give us much to go on, but does reveal that it would be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
U.S. President Joe Biden signed an executive order earlier today, calling for the restoration of net neutrality. Net neutrality rules ensure that internet providers cannot manipulate speeds to favour certain sites at the expense of others, or block access to selected portals.
Open-world games are oftentimes defined by their scope and the sense of freedom they bring to players. From early examples like The Legend of Zelda in 1986 to the more recent entries in the Assassin's Creed series, these games have taken players on nonlinear adventures set in sprawling environments. But if there is one element that keeps those players immersed in these environments, it is the stories they tell.
Art director John Mueller talked about this in a recent interview with PCGamesN. From the customization standpoint, the team believes Diablo 4 will offer something for everyone, regardless of however you identify yourself, and Mueller is currently very happy with the variety that the team has achieved through character customization.
