The Spring Festival or the Chinese New Year is upon us and 2025 is the year of the snake. This 15-day celebration starts Jan. 29 and varies across the world, but there are some typical Chinese traditions, for instance wearing red for good luck and hanging red banners in your house to ward off bad luck and a ferocious underwater beast from folktales.
