Are DSLRs actually dead?

It's been years since we saw a new DSLR camera launched, with mirrorless tech now the default. But does that mean they're no longer worth considering? Not necessarily – second-hands DSLRs now offer excellent value, if you're looking for a powerful camera. But you do have to accept their quirks and limitations, too.
