I have always loved islands. The first time I got on a plane was for a trip to the Canary Islands. And not long after that, I moved to the Caribbean island of St. Maarten. Since then, I have lived on several islands and visited many more all over the world. So in the collection, I want to share with you some of my favorite island destinations and experiences. I love the beach and therefore many of my travels take me to seaside destinations. My favorites include popular beaches in Southern California and hidden tropical spots in the Philippines, the Maldives and the Caribbean. In fact, I recently bought a sailboat in order to explore more unique locations, waking up to the sound of the waves, looking out over a beach that is still empty and quiet. Here, I'm sharing some of my top destinations and tips for a perfect beach getaway.
