With Mother’s Day coming up for our US, Canadian and Australian supporters, we wanted to recognise elephants who make one of the animal kingdom’s most amazing moms! As well as teaching their own babies which plants are edible and slowing the pace of the herd so their young can keep up, female elephants also help take care of all the babies in their herd. You can celebrate your mother by giving the gift of life and foster one of the orphaned elephants or rhinos in our care, who have tragically lost their own mothers at Or why not send a gift through our Gift Giving website which will help us better protect wildlife in Kenya at
