China Sets Off to Build a New Space Station

China is one step closer having a new low-orbit space habitat that will rival the International Space Station (ISS). Construction began with the launch of the first module on April 28 and could wrap up in late-2022. This would be the country's third such station, so what happened to the previous two and why is it building one instead of using ISS?
