Make Useful Fire Starters From Your Scraps Materials: Egg carton (paper preferably) Leftover wax from used candles Lint from your dryer filter (also sawdust, cotton balls, etc) Directions: Simply take an empty egg carton and pack each section with lint collected from your dryer or with any other flammable material such as sawdust, cotton balls, old wick leftovers and the like. Take a double boiler and melt your excess candles within it. Then simply pour the wax into each section of the egg carton with dryer lint and allow the wax to cool and harden. Afterward, cut or tear each section apart and you have a ready made fire starter for camping, cookouts, your fireplace or any survival/emergency situation that may arise.
