New York City already has nearly 150 museums. Can it use another? Jan Broman and his brother Per hope so. This October they will be opening Fotografiska New York, a version of the photography museum they launched in 2010 in their native Stocholm. Occupying a six-story Renaissance Revival building in New York's Flatiron District, the for-profit new museum will open with five exhibitions featuring a range of artists, as well as and high-end dining options -- the formula that has made Fotografiska so successful. Work by Ellen von Unwerth, Tawny Chatmon, Helene Schmitz, Adi Nes, and Anastasia Taylor-Lind will be on display. https://www.ai-ap.com/publications/article/25470/art-news-fotografiska-prepares-to-launch-in-nyc.html
