SPAIN'S WILD COAST: COASTAL CATALONIA

The Costa Brava or "wild coast" is a coastal region of Catalonia in northeastern Spain in the province of Girona. Costa Brava stretches from the town of Blanes, 37 mi northeast of Barcelona, to the French border at Port-Bou. It extends for about 75 miles along the Mediterranean Sea, thus coinciding with the coast of Girona province. They mostly speak Catalonian.
