I’m sorry, but it’s hard to get past the first sentence of this story without screaming WTF.. Any union member who would vote for a conservative ever was always voting against their own interests. There are no pro-union conservatives. It has never been a conservative cause. Conservatives have always tried to destroy unions. So if these dumb shitholes are voting for conservatives, let their unions die and let them make minimum wages forever. Fuck them utterly. They deserve nothing.

This is simply horseshit. There isn’t a conservative in all of the United States dedicated to democracy or the will of the people. Conservatism has at its very core a deep skepticism about rule by, for and of the people. They routinely deride democracy as mob rule. Every conservative pundit has uttered this at least once, and most do it often. Conservative authors write chapters on this very theme. The “will of the people” is not what conservatives care at all about. The will to power and to protect their own version of hierarchical order. That is their chief concern. This rhetoric smacks of further hypocrisy given that 74% of registered voters rejected their vision in 2016, and an even greater share in 2018. Their chief piñata, Hillary Clinton, won 3 million more votes from “the people” than their Chosen One did. I didn’t hear conservatives cry one drop about the will of the people at that moment. Because they don’t. Conservatism is fascism.
