Witnessing 45 Years of Sports and History, Curated by Kathy Willens

When I got my start as a AP photographer in 1974, the photo industry was completely different; we even wrote our captions on a typewriter! I was one of very few women photojournalists at the AP, where I took 95,000 pictures over the course of my career. I am so proud that I got to capture so many critical moments in our history, including images of trailblazers Billie Jean King and Muhammad Ali, the Olympics, presidential moments, the Mariel boatlift, World Series, Final Fours, and more.
