The 8 Best Neutral Paint Colors That'll Work In Any Home, No Matter The Style (PHOTOS)

If you're the type who wants their walls to be a backdrop rather than a focal point, then you definitely want to go with neutrals. But all those beige, gray, brown and white swatches have a tendency to blend together. You could strain your eyesight trying to tell the difference between "Creamy …

So so excited! One day to go and 91 nm - Team meeting with the organiser and owner of the race, Carsten, on the quayside in Nelson's dock last night with Will's and Dan's parents, to be briefed on what to expect. Both teams are due late afternoon -Atlantic 13 today and Jim and Luke tomorrow. There will be a steel band and all the big yachts from the harbour (see pic) will sound their horns and there is usually a crowd of well wishers. We can buy flares from a local shop and set them off (no rules on when and where - the coastguard are v relaxed!). Carsten goes out with a local crew to meet the team - check they cross the 'line' - and then the coastguard escort them in ( probably the most tricky bit of the whole race as the entrance is a little tight and the wind at the moment is strong) which takes about half an hour. we then get our first glimpse as they turn a corner right next to the quay where we are standing below! The picture shows team sparks/ barkham and Dom, on his 21st birthday.. So happy birthday Dom! The beards are a pact with Jamie that a few of his family and close friends had -no shaving until his safe return! No actual news from the boys despite lots of excited texts to them. But we can see they are moving well so suspect they are just rowing hard! Whilst in English harbour we spotted Cayle from row2recovery having a drink with his girlfriend and he very graciously allowed us complete strangers to quiz him - although of course we feel like we know him from his blogs and pictures- what an absolute hero - he was as cool as a cat and looked totally relaxed, not a clue that he had just completed one of the hardest races on earth without any legs and with dreadful injuries. That is a real feat! Random fact I learnt yesterday - the Australian Andrew Abrahams who is struggling at the moment with an injury but is still doing fabulously well - has never left Australia before! How about that! Your first foreign trip and it's a 5000 km paddle across the Atlantic!

Pope Francis: music to my progressive Catholic ears

From the moment Pope Francis stepped out on that balcony, I knew that something was different. Maybe it was the shy smile, the warm wave. The choice of "Francis" perhaps. Or his Jesuit roots, his Argentinian homeland. But still, I was waiting for the Prada loafer to drop.<p>I was waiting for Francis …
