But in practice, Facebook says nothing is really changing for WhatsApp users. The new privacy policy is mainly focused on business messaging practices, the social network said.
A privacy policy update that subtly points out data can be shared with Facebook prompted a user exodus, so WhatsApp is now giving them until May 15 to agree to the changes.
This time, WhatsApp will add a banner inside its app to explain that its new privacy policy will have no impact on private chats with friends and family.
