Khalifa Curl A shot from the Dubai fireworks last night. I like the effect of the fireworks on one side of the building and the smoke trails on the other. Shot with my 7D Mark II, 100-400 Mark II lens. The 100-400 is a stunning lens and on a crop sensor becomes a 160-640 which is great range for a long shot like this, sports and wildlife. The trick with fireworks is to use Bulb mode on the camera, f8 on this but reduce the aperture to f16 if the fireworks are brighter/more of them and time the exposure to capture the scene you want. Shoot in RAW mode to give the ability to get the most out of the shot in post production, this was edited in Lightroom mobile only on my iPad. Work the exposure first then Dehaze works great with firework shots. Adjust the white balance to get the tone you want, pull back the highlights with fireworks, bit of clarity and vibrance and then sharpen. Maybe a bit of denoise if needed to smooth out the shadows.
