The Double Life Of Giada De Laurentiis
Giada De Laurentiis has built herself a little empire based on home cooking and her wholesome appearance. But not everything in her life is as wholesome as it looks. We did a little digging and found out that she's as messed up as the rest of us.
Food Network star and celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis split from her husband, Anthropologie designer husband Todd Thompson (pictured), in 2014, according to People. The split came after 11 years of marriage, though they were together for over 20 years total, according to Redbook. Their divorce was finalized in 2015 and they share joint custody of their daughter Jade, according to another report by People.
Giada De Laurentiis is one of the most beloved Food Network hosts thanks to her Italian dishes, megawatt smile, and bubbly personality. (We're also obsessed with her pronunciation of "pasta"). It's easy to see how anyone can fall in love with her, because what's not to love? This is especially true for her boyfriend, Shane Farley.
Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis is quite a polarizing chef. Despite her bubbly nature on television, she's run into some scuffles off screen and racked up her fair share of haters. One such scuffle involved fellow celebrity chef Paula Deen ... but it's Deen's fans who are at the center of this controversy.
It's hard not to love Food Network chef Giada De Laurentiis with her bubbly personality, incredible Italian dishes, and seemingly picture-perfect life. But is that much-adored image one that she actually cultivates in real life — or is it just something that she portrays on TV? Because as it turns out, there is a whole list of celebrities who don't like the star, for reasons varying from claims of infidelity (there are rumors that she was involved with both Bobby Flay and Matt Lauer when the men were married to their respective partners), to her passive-aggressive comments (remember when she asked Nicole Kidman if she had ever cooked food before?). And Rosie O'Donnell is on that list.
