Drought in California
The governor of California ordered mandatory water restrictions for the first time in California history on April 1, saying that the state's drought had reached near-crisis proportions. The crisis has been building for years. Town taps have started to run dry, neighbors are tattling on each other for illegal watering of their yards and almond farms may wither and die.
