Ukraine's Missing Children

Almost 20,000 children from Ukraine have been deported to Russia or occupied territories under the guise of evacuations. Stripped of their Ukrainian identity, exposed to Russian propaganda and often mislabeled as orphans, children between the ages of four months and 18 years have been thrown into a network of 43 re-education camps and institutions. Less than 400 have been rescued, and UN investigators have called the abductions a war crime. This is the story of the war's lost children.
