Major Student Free Speech Ruling Expected Soon

A high school freshman from Pennsylvania didn't make her cheerleading squad, and like many teenagers often do, she vented on social media. After news circulated of her F-bomb laden Snapchat she was suspended from her junior varsity team for a year. Brandi Levy sued her school citing a violation of her First Amendment rights. For the first time in 14 years, the Supreme Court is expected to make a decision on student free speech, which could restrict what students are allowed to say off-campus.
