Asian American History in Schools

This month, Illinois became the first state to require all public schools to have a unit dedicated to Asian American and Pacific Islander history. The studies will focus on Asian American civil rights and their contributions to the country, which could combat stereotypes and educate students about all of the ethnicities that make up the community.
