Tracking the early signs of dementia

The neurodegeneration that leads to cognitive decline, Alzheimer’s and dementia can quietly progress for decades before clear clinical symptoms are apparent. Finding ways to detect these early preclinical stages of dementia could be vital to preventing, or at least slowing down, a number of devastating neurological diseases.
