Hurricane Ian makes landfall in Florida

Ian made landfall around 3:05 p.m. ET on Wednesday as a Category 4 hurricane off of Florida’s Gulf Coast. Ian’s maximum sustained wind speeds at landfall were around 150 mph, according the National Hurricane Center.
