Support the Museum by shopping- all of the proceeds from this year's Buffalo Exchange Earth Day Dollar Sale will benefit the Museum! The sale is April 19 in Buffalo Exchanges nation-wide, so even those of you not in Tucson can help! In this photo: Keeper Catherine wears clothing by Buffalo Exchange and holds a Gopher Snake.

The Desert Museum is excited to announce the discovery of a new species: Tayasu unicornus, commonly known as the Sonoran Desert Unicorn. Although this animal is rare and usually eludes efforts to photograph it, Museum photographers managed to get a glimpse of it in its natural desert habitat.

Our staff has been wearing Google Glass while working with some of our animals to provide a first-person perspective into what it is like to be a zookeeper. Get up-close to a herd of gerenuk, meet our warty pigs, and in our latest video, watch a goffin’s cockatoo take flight!
