Vacation Motor Hotel - Clarksville, TN. First off, thanks to everyone who welcomed me back yesterday. Really good to see that you guys are still going strong on IG. Now, about this motel… I came to find out that just a few months before I took this shot (June 2011) Tennessee Drug Task Force agents found 39 working meth labs on the property with 2 more under construction. Ironically, the lone Trip Advisor review (posted just last month) describes the place by saying “it's no Ramada Inn but it's clean and safe.” Either they have cleaned up their act drastically or the owner is posting fake reviews. Either way, I’m not staying there anytime soon. #vintage #neon #motel #sign #signporn #vintagesign #vintagesigns #instagramamericana

Tad's last stand in NYC! This is the final Tad's Steaks in NYC -- the Times Square and 34th Street outlets have closed in recent years. The only other one I know that survives is in San Francisco, which I have photographed recently. (Scroll down for video.) I've never had the intestinal fortitude to dine at a Tad's, but the storefronts are reminders of a grittier (and gristlier) time in New York. #signgeeks

Ratner's Deli is back! Well, the ghost of its sign is haunting Delancey Street, 11 years after the legendary kosher dairy restaurant closed. Sleepy's (the Mattress Professionals in case you don't know) recently closed at 138 Delancey St., and the removal of that sign revealed this hidden gem. The restaurant survived for 99 years, and operated out of this storefront from 1918 to 2004. Pay your respects before this sign gets hidden again or worse. If only it could be somehow saved and restored. After you visit, head up to Katz's on Houston Street and get a taste of what we've been missing on Delancey these 11 years. #savenyc #signgeeks #nycprimeshot #nypix #icapture_nyc #igersofnyc #ig_nycity #nyc_explorers #abandon_seekers #Made_In_NY
