I learned that a peaceful feast took place with a group of native Americans & pilgrims in the 1600s. Through research I found there is a dark side to this story. Massachusetts colony governor declared a day of thanks-giving to celebrate soldiers who slaughtered 700 Pequot men, women, and children in Connecticut.
