Gary Pickering understands the plight of the homeless all too well -- after all, he was once homeless himself. After a divorce in 1988, Gary found himself forced to live out of his own shop. At the same time, several other homeless folks were living outside the store. With winter approaching, Gary offered them his parked van to escape the harsh Utah cold and snow. Many years later, and back on his feet, Gary never forgot that experience. When he saw another homeless person living on the street, he wondered how he could help. With his building skills and enormous heart, Gary created several portable "Micro-houses" that could temporarily help the homeless with escaping poor weather as well as regaining some privacy and dignity. "I didn't do this as a business," Gary explains, "I don't want a business. I want to inspire other people." You've done just that, Gary! Everyone Matters More on the story: http://goo.gl/xlbhtf
