The World Risks Breaking Its COVID-19 Pledge

More than 165 countries joined together in July 2020 to form an alliance called COVAX dedicated to immunizing the world against COVID-19. Months later, those efforts are moving slowly than needed as wealthy nations are hoarding shots for their own people, creating a vast inequity of distribution. Today, there are at least 10 countries still waiting to receive their first vaccine supply, and further delay will likely only prolong the pandemic.
