Hospital Workers Pushed to the Brink

Doctors and nurses at hospitals in COVID-19 hot spots once again are asked to be heroes as the number of coronavirus cases rise. It has reached a point where health care facilities are strapped for resources and can no longer treat non-coronavirus cases — there just aren't any beds in the I.C.U. Instead, patients are shipped to far-off cities for treatment. Many of those admitted are unvaccinated. Read more about the experiences health care workers face nationwide.
