Colin Powell's Blood Cancer Left Him Immunocompromised Against COVID-19

The former U.S. Secretary of State passed away on Oct. 18, a result of COVID-19 complications. Though he was fully vaccinated, Powell's multiple bouts with myeloma negatively affected his immune system. Health officials say dying after being inoculated is "extremely uncommon" and you have to factor in someone's age and pre-existing conditions. Moreover, the rate of those unvaccinated dying from the coronavirus is far higher than those who are vaccinated.
