There are so many horrific accounts that it's impossible to learn about them all, and these are the nightmarish World War II battle stories that most people haven't heard.

No matter how much you know — or think you know — about World War II, there are always more horrible things lurking in the shadows. We all know the war years were a terrible time, but let's talk about some of the messed up things about World War II that truly happened but are usually left out of history books.

World War II may have started more than 75 years ago, but people still think about it a lot. Except so much of what we think we know is wrong. Propaganda was flying around from all sides during the war, and even after all these years we still believe some of it.
